Genau! KKBBQ - aber das war mal. Ein kleines namensrechtliches Wirrwar veranlasste das Duo sich in "Bad News Boys" umzubenennen.
Der Name ist neu - das Programm das beliebte Gleiche!

Das ultimative Garage Punk meets Doo-Wop Duo aus Montréal und Berlin bringt Sounds zusammen, die eigentlich nicht zusammen gehören: The Velvet Underground, 13th Floor Elevators, Black Flag, The Falcons, Sam Cooke, The Users, The Sonics, The Cramps, Bo Diddley, Jerry Lee Lewis und The Gonn sind wohl die üblichen Verdächtigen, die einem beim Hören der Platten auf In The Red, Goner, Norton, Crypt, Hazelwood und Fat Possum einfallen. Trotzdem sind die Bad News Boys vielmehr als nur die Summe ihrer Einflüsse: Keine andere Band verbindet rohen Punkrock, Rock ‘n’Roll, Soul, Doo-Wop und R&B zu einer so unverkennbar eigenen Mischung - und die Liveshows sind nichts weniger als legendär…

The Jetlegs High Energy Rock `n Roll, klischeefrei, zeitlos, gut. Seit 2006 setzt das Nürnberger Trio auf das Wesentliche – Riffs, Energie und Riffs. So wie es Dekaden vorher Bands wie Thin Lizzy, The Stooges oder The Who taten. Dabei sind The Jetlegs weit entfernt von einem öden Retroaufguss - das überlassen sie lieber den Hypes der Stunde. Und dass man aus Nürnberg kommend dem internationalen Mainstream-Zeitgeist den Mittelfinger zeigen kann, dass zeigt die lange Historie an Liveshows. Sowohl in der Heimat als auch international teilte man die Bühne mit etlichen Szenegrößen. Nun steht nach zwei EPs und einem Album der neue Tonträger in den Startlöchern – endlich auch im authentischen 7“ Vinylformat.

The Noise takes its musical influences from the over crowded and extremely loud streets of New York City. Although one hears influences of all the members’ past bands, this self-titled release carves a world of original, provocative and multicultural music best described as Post Punk, Noise, and Cut throat hard Rock. Like Richard Hell fronting the Clash listening to Television with Jimi Hendrix. The record includes contributions by the great Billy Ficca (Television) and Eric Miles Levy (Orgy, Lit).

Vocals- Arthur King (aka “Googy” aka “Bliss”). Began his musical journey as one of the founding members of The Misfits (Walk Among Us, Evilive and 3 Hits From Hell). His contribution and work ethic where a major force on why this was the best Misfits era.

Guitars – Brian Goss – guitar and voice of the legendary NYC band, CBGB’s Records and Another Planet recording artist “Dripping Goss as well The Iconic Warzone.

Bass – George Musa – a staple of the NYC music scene and Lower East Side patriot. Founding member of Hell’s Kitchen NYC, Larva, NYC drum and Bass, and many others.

Drums- Dave Blackshire – an amazingly talented drummer. Former guitar player and singer of Joker 5 Speed, and many other quintessential NYC bands.

“The Noise” is diverse, unique and powerful. With songs like “East of First “, a true punk anthem, they conjure up the Lower East Side of yesteryear’s. This band and record is far from just a re-hash punk band. The Noise dives into New York City Noise-street- Psychedelic-prog explosions with songs like Savior at Night”, “Climb Out” and “Ho Chi Min”. Garage tracks like “Some People” and “Ego” are infectious with hints of The Jam and The Who. No wave street soul, modern and cutthroat is what comes to mind as you absorb this record. Lyrically, The Noise pulls us out a world of injustice and systematically imposed cast systems and empowers us to become free thinkers. They expose us to the world of music, art, film and poetry that is still alive and well in the Lower East Side of New York.
